Samana Penninsula
The Samana Penninsula is one of those unspoilt paradisaic places you've always dreamt about, but weren't sure still existed. Well, it does exist, but please leave it alone so we can enjoy it. The last thing we want is a load of tourists bombarding the penninsula and pushing the property prices up! Jokes aside, The Samana Penninsula is considered to be one of the prettiest parts of the Dominican Republic. And the Dominican Republic is one of the prettiest places in the Caribbean.
If you like white sandy beaches, palm trees, luxurious vegetation, clear blue seas, lots of sun, tropical rain forests, clear mountain streams - then you'll love the Samana Penninsula. Why is is called the Penninsula? Well, if you look at a map of the Dominican Republic, Samana juts out from the eastern coastline. Samana City is on the southern coast of the penninsular where it forms a sort of bay, known ironically enough as Samana Bay.
Seriously, come and visit. I guarantee you'll love it here!
The Northern part of the peninsula is home to Las Galeras and Las Terranas, great white sandy beaches. Also, you must check out Playa Bonita (gues what this is?), Rincon Bay and the Los Haitises National Park
